Well equipped for all occasions. Veronica has thought of everything from kitchen utensils, to TV channels, a pool table, sauna and boating lake
Getting to Somers Hiscott was interesting via the narrow lanes so reading the instructions supplied carefully you will eventually find it. The house itself was very impressive and inside was immaculate. The kitchen was very well equipped with all that you would probably need. The dining area was big enough to accommodate everyone even though the chairs seemed to be a bit low to the table. All the bedrooms were immaculate and the beds arranged as requested even had soap and towels provided.
The house is quite isolated so you had to make your own entertainment or had to drive to Westward Ho or Bideford for things to do.
Beautiful surroundings, very quiet lots of privacy , the pod was modern and very clean. The hot tub was brilliant. If the sun had been kind ,you could not have wished for a more gorgeous romantic get away.
We booked this house for a family reunion over the Easter holidays.
The space & layout of this house was perfect for our party of 3 couples & 4 children. There was so much space in the house. The kitchen was very well equipped for our catering needs. We cooked every day & all the equipment was clean & of good quality. Even the ovens sparkled!!
The utility room with washing machine & tumble dryer were very useful.
Everyone remarked on how comfortable the beds were & the bathrooms/ showers all worked well.
The hot tub was clean & very enjoyable with very clear instructions on its use.
Stable Cottage is so peaceful - the calm and quiet is so welcoming - with absolutely no sounds heard at night! There is so much to do, both in the cottage and in the surrounding area. The swimming pool and games room really helped us to detox from mobile devices! And right on the doorstep is wonderful walking, running and cycling. The local towns are great for a visit, and we found the restaurants to be high quality and good value for money. We love the owners and their family - so welcoming and friendly.
Very comfortable cottage, with excellent on site facilities. The indoor pool was lovely, along with the play area and sports court. There was plenty of space in the cottage and very well equipped, especially the kitchen, that had everything you needed for a family staying away.
Pet friendly too, which was great, with lots of walks, which was very nice for us all to be together. We visited Hawkstone Follies which is also Pet friendly and was a lovely day out. The owners were very helpful with ideas of days out and places to eat.
The BEST time at the Tudor Barn
Myself and a group of friends stayed at the Tudor Barn just before Christmas and we were blown away! Juliet was so accommodating and we enjoyed so many of the facilities; we cycled into Lavenham on one day on the bikes provided, did wine tasting in the Shepherd's Hut and had fun dressing up in the Tudor costumes. We enjoyed local food and sat in front of the open fire every evening in the Tudor Barn. The accommodation was very comfortable and we really appreciated the under floor heating. The kitchen is very large with everything you could possibly need. We had the best time and can't wait to come back!
Very clean and comfortable
Great walking opportunities with or without dogs
Another glorious weekend at the Tudor Barn.

Open fields and gardens ,peacefull getaway.
Everything about this property is just amazing
Good character property in a quiet, peaceful setting. Very well positioned for Hay-on-Wye and Hereford, being mid-way between the two. High quality interior. All en-suite accommodation with quality fittings. Spacious layout of kitchen/dining/lounge area. Plenty of space outside including well maintained cottage garden. Plenty of parking space. Very comfortable beds and pillows, gorgeous bed linen. Very comfortable settees in lounge area. Well insulated - cosily warm on cold days. Great feature is the very spacious porch for hanging coats, removing boots, etc...
How big it was, stunning views, the overall accommodation was breathtaking. The peace and quiet. If you are a walker, horse lover or just need to chill like me. Perfect. Lots of books to read, games.
Idyllic little bolt hole for two. Private with lovely country view set in beautiful Herefordshire countryside. Furnishings and fittings all to a very high standard. Spotlessly clean and the best welcome hamper we’ve ever had! Excellent access to Malvern Hills, Hereford, Ledbury and areas of outstanding natural beauty. Communication from owners excellent.
A wonderful, spacious, historic building that felt like a true privilege to be able to stay in. Very comfortably decorated. Close to city centre for easy access but far away enough to be peaceful.
It was a family holiday with the kids of all ages. I can truly say that everyone was kept occupied from the little kids playing hide and seek to our teenagers who lived in the games room for the weekend. We enjoyed having all our extended family in the same place for the first time in 15 years.
From the original booking to the moment we checked out Del and James were fantastic hosts keeping us informed of all the information we needed to stay at Dolwen. We were a group of 3 adults staying at the property whilst working at the Royal Welsh show. This spacious property was perfect and located in a beautifully quiet spot. Working for the RSPB seeing and hearing the array of birds was a pleasant treat every morning and for anyone looking for ideas on local amenities, the property had loads of ideas for anyone not familiar with the area. Would highly recommend this property to anyone and will be back for another stay.
We were thrilled with our short break at the newly renovated Moorland Breeze. It is set in a stunning location and enjoys jaw dropping views which can be enjoyed from both the pretty garden and inside the property.
The friendly and helpful owners welcomed us on arrival.
The property itself was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It has been thoughtfully designed and provided everything needed for a break in the country. There was even a dressing area with plug sockets, mirror and lighting as well as ample clothes hanging space.
During our stay we were spoilt for choice with things to do in the local area.
It feels like you are at home as you walk in. Secluded, beautiful perfect West country holiday cottage. Owners are friendly and helpful...Caroline always obliging and Dave even has a pint. Excellent . Have booked it out a good couple of times with my family to visit my family in the region.
