Many delights await the tourist in Pembrokeshire - it's ideal for nature lovers, the rocky coastline and offshore islands make it a haven for sea birds. It's even possible to see puffins, those colourful, comical birds with a large beak on Skomer Island, which is part of a marine nature reserve. The number of visitors to the island each day is limited but a wonderful treat for bird watchers. There are also 229 km of coastal path for the more active visitor - but you don't have to walk it all in one go!
But if you are fit, or would like more of an activity holiday, Pembrokeshire is just perfect. You will find purpose built cycle trail for cycling in safety, there's horse riding, sailing, diving, wind surfing, and sea cliff climbing for the really adventurous.
But if you just want to relax with the occasional trip to a tourist attraction, then Pembrokeshire has plenty of those on offer: Fishguards Ocean Lab, Oakwood, Welsh Wildlife Centre... and an almost endless list suitable for families.
