Moulton is a large village right in the heart of Northamptonshire, and is great for a country cottage holiday where you can rest and relax in a new setting, exploring this charming area at leisure. There are 3000 residents in Moulton which means quite a lot of pubs, including The Artichoke and The Cardigan Arms. Most of these serve food as well as refreshing beverages and are cosy and friendly places to settle into for the evening after a day out discovering the delights of this village.

If you are visiting Moulton in the month of May you should make sure you do not miss the village festival which takes place every year. Home to the Moulton Morris Dancers who put on great performances, plus a range of other exciting events and lots of food and drink, it is a fun festival that brings the community together.

There is also a sports complex in Moulton which houses the village hall – a great social hub for villagers of the settlement. For culture, you could pop along to Moulton Theatre which is located in the old school of the village dating from 1878.

The Methodist Chapel in Moulton has a Gothic feel about it and dates from 1835, and there are also several shops around this area stocking all the foods you will need on a self-catering break. You can purchase food to cook your favourite meals in your fully-equipped kitchen before crashing out in front of the TV and getting ready to see more of Moulton the next day.
