The coast can be reached within fifteen minutes by car which opens up the possibility of visiting the seaside towns of Aldeburgh and Thorpeness for walks with dogs by the sea. On either side of these are nature reserves of Minsmere and Orfordness with heathland and wildlife. You may be able to find a pet-friendly country cottage set in farmland close to Saxmundham or a cosy pine lodge.
