The Holiday Home: About Seahaven
Stunning 4 Bedroom 4 Bathroom No Pets Holiday Rental with Sea Views in Cornwall
Seahaven is an elegant and stylish 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom, holiday home in the charming coastal village of Port Isaac. If you can recall the Doc Martin television series, you are already familiar with the location because the programme was filmed here. It’s a lovely little former fishing village with a small sandy harbour and slipway. The town extends uphill from the bay which lies surrounded by rocky cliffs. There are holiday homes at all levels in this town and this one was also built further up a hill to maximise on the fantastic sea views.Inside this Sleeps 10 Coastal Cottage in Port Isaac
Enter into the reception hall/boot room. Hang your coat, sit on the handy bench to comfortably remove outdoor shoes. They have thought of everything in this stunning Cornish holiday home. Once you come in, it becomes evident that the colour scheme is natural with accents of blue. Various shades of blue create a vibrancy and interest. A cavernous open-plan living area is where you and your family or friends would spend time cooking, eating, chatting, listening to music, watching television and relaxing when not out and about in Cornwall. There are two televisions in this property, one in the open-plan living area, the other in a smaller secluded TV room. Both have a Smart television with various streaming channels such as Amazon Prime, Netflix and Freeview for your entertainment and enjoyment. The house benefits from WIFi which enables all guests to keep up with whatever they do online, listen to their own music and continue their digital life as some deem essential. It is impossible not to admire the décor, which has a certain flamboyance; plush velvet sofas stand before a background wall of palm branches, curious crochet pouffes add glamour. This holiday home is planned for your pleasure in addition to leisure, so do come and enjoy.
The white kitchen units are striking, set off well by the Moroccan inspired tiles. The dining table is positioned in front of a big window with views out to sea. You could cook up lavish banquets in this kitchen. Apart from the usual electric oven, grill and hob, microwave and a fridge/freezer, there is a Nespresso coffee machine for a good scented morning cup of coffee and wine fridge to serve up your drinks perfectly chilled. On the practical side, a washing machine and tumble dryer will solve the problem of salty and damp beach towels and wet swimwear.
At bedtime, when everyone is exhausted after a great day at the beach or exploring the villages of Cornwall, four pretty bedrooms await:
• a room with a super-king-size bed and en-suite with a shower cubicle, washbasin and W.C,
• a king-size bedroom in shades of blue that also has its own en-suite shower room facilities.
• a twin bedroom with a table separating the two single beds.
• a big room with two sets of adult-sized white wood bunk beds and white wood hanging frames for clothing.
A family bathroom has a large bath with an overhead shower, basin and WC.
There is also a ground-floor shower room off of the utility room, which has a very useful large walk-in shower, handbasin and W.C.
This beautiful holiday home in Post Isaac sleeps up to 10 guests in four bedrooms, bearing in mind that one of the bedrooms contains two sets of bunks and sleeps 4 in total.
Outside the property has a generous patio area with garden furniture and lawned garden where you can sit out, dine alfresco in summer and soak up those fabulous sea views.
Steps lead down from the garden, to the street and the coast.
Discover Cornwall on Holiday
Port Isaac is a pleasant place to base yourself for a self-catering break in Cornwall. It is picturesque and the winding lanes beg to be explored. Most people would want to pay a visit to Doc Martin’s house, which incidentally is also a holiday home – so don’t stare through the windows too obviously. There are enough eateries in the town for day to day purposes, although whilst in Cornwall, many people would want to have a taste of Rick Stein’s fish dishes. Whether it is the humble Cornish pasty or a gourmet meal, a holiday in Cornwall is about having the time of your life, so come and make the most of it.This owner/agency has featured on countrycottagesonline.com since 2010
