Coniston Water where you can enjoy cycling, walking or boating is just 13 miles away. More of the Lake District can be discovered at Whitbarrow National Nature Reserve which is 20 miles away, Grizedale Forest Park which is 14 miles away and at Lake Windermere and Bowness on Windermere just over 20 miles away. It’s also possible to spend some time by the coast at North Walney National Nature Reserve just 7 miles away (visit to soak up wonderful sea and mountain views) along with the National Trust’s Sandscale Haws National Nature Reserve where you can appreciate more of the same.
