This comfortable and cosy cottage features wonderful countryside views and is nestled within gardens on a non-working farm in the Dorset countryside. If you are looking for a holiday cottage where you can recharge your batteries and relax in a tranquil idyllic location, this cottage could be for you. There is a 0.5 acre fishing lake on site where guests can fish for largish carp, at a charge of £12 per day. Due to the presence of this lake on site, children staying at the lodge must be aged 12 or above.Inside the accommodation is homely and comfortable and all on the ground floor. There is a lounge with dining area and wonderful views out to the Blackmoor Vale, a compact fitted kitchen, one double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a shower room with shower and WC. The country views out to the surrounding fields are a real treat.
Outdoors there are shared gardens and the cottage enjoys access to a private and secluded garden area with outdoor seating where you can really soak up and enjoy this rural location.
Days out can be enjoyed discovering the nearby pretty hillside town of Shaftesbury and exploring the Blackmoor Vale and the Dorset coast and countryside.

Gold Hill is the most famous hill in Shaftesbury. With its worn polished cobbles, it's most recently famous for the Hovis Bread Advertisement back in the 1980's when the young boy struggled to push his bicycle up the steep hill.
Market day is Thursday, with a good Farmers Market on the first Saturday of every month. Coffee shops and cafes abound, in particular pay a visit to Turnbull's Deli at the top of the High Street for great coffee, cakes and a huge selection of cheese.
