During the warmer months, you can enjoy some home-cooked meals out on the patio while there is also kitchen and a dining room when the temperatures are lower.
The village of Cotherstone is just a stone’s throw away and is home to a couple of great pubs that serve some delicious food if you want a night off from cooking. Go for relaxing walks in the surrounding countryside and be sure to pop into the market town of Barnard Castle, full of quaint shops and cafes. Nature lovers will love hiking up the river to High Force and Cauldron Snout while kids will love the deer park at nearby Raby Castle. More fantastic days out can be had discovering the impressive landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
