The Holiday Home: About Roach Rest
With a delightful rural setting on a working farm, Roach Rest is a very comfortable barn conversion and is one of 3 charming holiday cottages at Wallrudding Farm. Situated just outside of the village of Doddington, Wallrudding Farm offers some fantastic leisure facilities on site and is also within easy reach of some of the best of Lincolnshire for enjoyable days out.
Within the farm there are generous private grounds and with fields and pastures all around, this is an ideal place to enjoy a relaxing rural break and use of the fantastic leisure facilities on the farm. Within the private grounds and just a short walk from the cottages are the farm’s mature fishing lakes which are well stocked with Carp, Tench, Rudd, Roach and Golden Orf. Guests staying at the farm have exclusive fishing rights to the lake but must have a licence. Also on site is a wonderful large heated indoor swimming pool which is open from 9am until 8pm daily and is perfect for relaxing.
Roach Rest is a very comfortable and welcoming holiday cottage which is comprised of a lounge, a large well equipped kitchen/diner, twin bedroom and bathroom. With 1 bedroom this charming cottage could be ideal for a romantic break. This is a single storey property and is suitable for people with mobility difficulties.
For days out, the historical city of Lincoln is only around 5 miles away, the delightful riverside town of Newark on Trent just 15 miles away and the greenery of Sherwood Forest National Nature Reserve is only 25 miles away. Also within easy reach for days out is the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
