Leyburn is a fantastic location for a self-catering holiday in Yorkshire, nestled in scenic Wensleydale and boasting a good selection of amenities, including a small supermarket, a chocolatier, charming tea rooms, antique auctions, and a weekly market held every Friday. It's a beloved destination for hikers, offering an abundance of diverse and picturesque footpaths, including one that traces the nearby River Ure, leading to the magnificent Aysgarth Falls, as well as another path to Leyburn Shawl. Holidaymakers that enjoy mountain biking and horse riding are also well catered for,  as the area features bridleways and trails that offer breathtaking views.

This is a beautiful area of Yorkshire with lots of great places to visit and discover including charming market towns and pretty villages.  Places of interest to visit include historic Bolton Castle, the enchanting gardens of The Forbidden Corner, and the stately Constable Burton Hall.   The Yorkshire Dales National Park is just a short drive away and is a great place to enjoy a wide range of outdoor pursuits.  Whilst exploring the area you may also want to visit Hawes, renowned for the famous Wensleydale Creamery and the Dales Countryside Museum.
