It is always very nice to have a seaside break when the weather permits in Britain. Saltburn-by-the-Sea, in North Yorkshire, is a small town built beside a very nice sandy beach. A walk over the cliffs Leeds to Skinningrove beach, another potential beach to explore. Walk northwards in the opposite direction and you will come to Marske by the Sea and yet another good beach. The lodges are set in woodland that wraps around the back of the town. Here you will find walks and Skelton Beck which flows down to the sea.

The lodges have been specifically designed for self-catering holidays and are equipped with all basic essentials for a satisfying holiday. One such lodge, is Lavender Lodge, a semi-detached one bedroom lodge with a small terrace and a garden table and chairs. Inside Is a living area which encompasses daily activities of cooking, eating, watching television and relaxation. The lodge has Wi-Fi so that guests are able to research what they might like to see in Saltburn by the Sea, or generally in the area. The beach is 1.2 miles away, so it’s either a good walk, a drive, or better still a bike ride. The lodge is pet friendly and ideal for any couple who would like to bring their dog.

Gas central heating keeps the lodge at a comfort comfortable temperature. When the weather is fine, sit out on the decking and enjoy the sunshine.

The bedroom contains a four foot 6 double bed and a fitted wardrobe. Towels and bed linen are supplied. A smart modern shower is there when you return from the beach, or at bedtime.

The kitchen is equipped with all the basic appliances that you would need to self-cater, a fridge, a freezer, a microwave, and easy to clean ceramic hob and an electric oven for cooking. There is also a washer dryer if you like to deal with dirty clothes as you go.

The peaceful woodland setting would appeal too many people, especially dog owners because there is a tree every few yards. Come for a week, or for a three night short break. Do book ahead because of the high demand for UK based self-catering holidays.
