Large Group Accommodation in Somerset’s Quantock Hills
Searching for large group holiday accommodation in Somerset? If so, Lydeard Farm Bush Camp and Lodges could be the ideal choice. Set on an idyllic Somerset farm in the Quantock Hills, just 6 miles from Taunton, and less than 20 miles from Blue Anchor beach, you can enjoy spending quality time in the countryside with friends and family, and day trips out by the coast with a stay here. Additional activities such as archery can be arranged by arrangement.
Big Family Groups, Friends, Stags and Hen Parties All Welcome
Whether for a special celebration, an extended family getaway or a break with friends, this tranquil rural setting could be the perfect choice. Groups are accommodated in lodges which sleep up to 6 guests per lodge in dorm style accommodation. These lodges feature bedroom and bathroom accommodation.
Large Communal Bush Camp Living Area
Onsite is a communal Bush Camp living area complete with a kitchen area with 5-ring gas cooker with large oven, basic kitchen utensils, pots and pans plus cutlery and crockery, a toaster, electric kettles, small microwave, 2 fridges, and a small deep freeze. The communal living space is around 60 metres from the lodges.
The lodges themselves are simple and feature bunk beds/dorm style accommodation with some twin bed set ups available. Each lodge has its own bathroom with two showers, two WCs and two hand basins. The individual lodges sleep between 2 to 6 guests. Guests need to bring their own duvets and pillows or sleeping bag.
There is ample space to relax and socialise in the Bush Camp area. Bench seating and tables can be set up in different layouts to suit your group or you can all cosy up around the woodburner. When the weather is warm, the sides of the shelter can be opened up and guests can make use of the outdoor benches too.
This is a superb location to enjoy the stunning natural setting and time outdoors. One of the best facilities at Lydeard Farm is the outside BBQ and camp fire area for your exclusive group use. There are 3 large BBQ grills, as well as a raised base for a camp fire. This area is perfect for star gazing, marshmallow roasting and a good old fashioned sing song! A starter kit to get the BBQ and fire started is provided. Enjoy dining, relaxing and socialising with friends al fresco in summer time, in stunning natural surroundings.
Next to the main Bush camp building is an indoor washing up area with hot water and a drying rack. Also close to the Bush camp building are eco toilets.
Activity breaks can be arranged with archery and air rifles available on site (additional prices apply). Horse riding and sports tours are also possible nearby, so there is plenty to keep guests entertained on site.
