The Property: About Ash Holiday Lodge

Comfortable holiday accommodation for up to 8 people is assured at Ash Lodge, near Washford in Somerset. A luxurious five star, four bedroom lodge with a hot tub in the garden is THE place to come and relax for a week or two. This pet-friendly pine holiday home is most attractive, both inside and out. Slightly unusually for a holiday home, this is almost 2 separate ground floor and upper floor apartments.

Ground floor accommodation

The ground floor features polished wooden flooring throughout and matching pine doors. The living area is open plan, there is a log burner in the sitting room section which features character ceiling beams, a TV and doors out to the patio. A smart cream coloured kitchen is a pleasant place to cook and prepare breakfast on holiday. The pine table dining table has eight chairs around it to seat all occupants of the lodge. There is a necessary dishwasher and washing machine in addition to the usual kitchen appliances.

There are two ground floor bedrooms, one double and a twin bedroom. A wet room with shower and WC makes this lodge suitable for people with mobility problems but not for those requiring wheelchair access.

Upper floor accommodation in this holiday lodge

An external staircase gains access to the upper floor of the lodge which is self-contained and offers two twin bedrooms under the eaves, and a shared shower room. There is also a small kitchenette where snacks may be prepared using a two ring cooker. It also has its own fridge and microwave.

The lodge may suit a variety of people including a family with teenagers who may relish the thought of separate accommodation away from prying eyes upstairs or an extended family meeting up for the holidays.

A barbecue and garden furniture allows for easy informal family meals and garden parties. All it takes for a garden party in the summer is a few burgers and sausages, salad, beer, wine and sunshine.

There are numerous beautiful rural locations in England and this part of Somerset easily matches them. Washford is just a couple of miles away from the harbour town of Watchet on the coast, Exmoor is little further. Visit historic Dunster with cobbled streets and character, go paddling or surfing on Blue Anchor beach, the nearest beach on the Somerset coast. There is plenty of choice for things to do and new experiences during a self-catering break in north Somerset.
