Inside this Charming Sleeps Four Pet-Friendly Somerset Country Cottage
Step into the welcoming atmosphere of Garden View, with its picturesque windows and lavish sofas placed in the living area. The electric flame effect fire gives an added bonus of a warming and inviting space, making it the perfect environment to chill out in. The cottage itself dates back to the 15th century, and you can certainly see the lovely merging of authentic, traditional designs with a stylish modern twist. The kitchen is another well designed area, tucked away near the dining table with all the appliances you could need from an electric oven and hob to the dishwasher.
You can take your homemade dinner out onto the gorgeous garden, where you can sit out on the garden furniture and enjoy sublime natural views as far as you can see. It’ll be an idyllic way to spend an evening, and even better that you can finish it off with a soak in the hot tub!
When you’re ready for bed, the two bedrooms are both lovely spaces offering their own unique characters and arrangements. You can choose to sleep in the lavish king-sized room (able to be turned into two twin beds on request, making it perfect for any arrangement) under lovely beamed ceilings as you make the most of the lovely decor. Alternatively, choose the equally stunning double room, with the added luxury of an ensuite bathroom with a walk in shower, basin and a WC so you can wake up to the refreshing waters of a shower. There is also an additional shower room with a walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC. Whatever you’re dreaming up, Garden View could be the perfect place for you!
Explore the Wellington and scenic Somerset on a Self-Catering Break
Garden View is ideally placed to be surrounded by an array of holiday activities, from charming Wellington town to stunning monuments and landscapes. On a trip to Wellington, you can visit the stunning restored Edwardian landscaped gardens (perhaps they’ll inspire your own gardening project!) or explore the Wellington monument and Stawley, a gorgeous medieval house that’s well worth a visit. If you fancy being surrounded by some unspoilt areas of nature, Culmstock Beacon is a magnificent paradise for wildlife, as well as a historical landmark. Blackdown Hills also offers plenty of charming walks and photo opportunities. If you’re more of a beachgoer, than don’t forget to visit the coast, only 20 miles away, to feel the sea breeze in your hair, take a dip in the sea, and of course have some classic fish and chips on the sandy beaches! It’ll be an amazing destination for your next holiday away.
