Stratford on Avon is just 10 miles away and is a town with many a historical building including the house where William Shakespeare grew up. Stratford upon Avon is highly recommended for a day trip. A river flows through the town, adding to its scenic quality. By the river, you can catch boat trips and also find the Shakespeare Theatre which specialises in his works.
Another attractive town found close to Warwick is Royal Leamington Spa, which is just 2 and a half miles away. With elegant buildings, excellent shopping, bars and restaurants this town is a fine place for a day trip.
