The seaside resort of Littlehampton is a great place for families. The east and west sandy beaches, divided by the mouth of the River Arun, slope very gently into the sea. There's an attractive promenade, boating lake, small funfair, numerous fish and chip chops and other eateries. Crabbing is a popular pursuit along the sea front. Dozens of swans congregate along the river's edge, and together with the harbour, boats and yachts, all create a picturesque seaside picture.

A large car boot sale bristling with bargains and hordes of shoppers is held every Saturday morning on the old airfield at Ford. Lots of other interesting places to visit including Arundel and Chichester.

Littlehampton has two beaches - East Beach is a traditional sand and shingle beach, with a 'Blue Flag' award for cleanness, and West Beach has unspoilt sand dunes, rare plants and wildlife.
