Constructed from what was originally 2 stable blocks and a central 4-storey tower house, this superb historical holiday home with its character features and high ceilings dates back to the 1700s and now offers elegant and comfortable holiday accommodation on the Hirsel Country Estate on the outskirts of Coldstream.Inside this unique and unusual holiday house you can appreciate features such as high ceilings combined with modern and comfortable furnishings and fittings. On the ground floor there is a large kitchen with large cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and dining table and romantic bedroom with a king-size bed and seating area, plus an en-suite shower room with double shower and WC. On the first floor is the lounge with TV and warming fireplace and snug/games room with PlayStation 2, each of which features a balcony where you can sit out and look out over the courtyard. Also on this floor is a comfy twin bedroom. There is also a family bathroom with roll-top bath, double-sized shower cubicle and WC. Up on the 2nd floor is another twin bedroom and on the 3rd floor is another romantic double bedroom with king-sized bed.
Unique and very well presented, this is a very special historical home.
Outside there is a generous enclosed courtyard area to the rear of the property and to the front is a small patio and shared lawn area. Parking is available for up to 4 cars.
Enjoy exploring the surrounding area; take a walk by the river, enjoy a spot of fishing on the River Tweed or play a round or two of golf at Coldstream's 18-hole course. Days out can be enjoyed discovering the scenery of Northunberland National Park where you can enjoy a variety of outdoor pursuits or alternatively get out and explore the beautiful Northumbrian coast with its many fascinating castles and beautiful sandy beaches.
