2 Bedroom Rural Retreat with Country Views near Llandeilo

Set beside a rural road near Llandeilo is this two bedroom country cottage for holidays in Carmarthenshire, Wales.  The town of Carmarthen  is eighteen miles away – somewhere to visit for a day out, shopping, dining and sightseeing.

One of the best features of a holiday in this location are the fabulous surrounding views. All around the cottage are green fields, hills, rivers and streams.   To the west of Llandeilo is Dinefwr deer Park, edged by the River Towy, and a pleasant place to go for a long walk to see the deer.

This stone-built cottage itself has much to commend it; it is detached and although directly facing the owner’s property across the road, it stands in a remote rural location that guarantees tranquillity and lanes quiet enough for cycling.


Inside this 2 Bedroom Country Cottage near Llandeilo

The self-catering accommodation is of a good standard and gas centrally heated throughout. There is a compact lounge with a TV and sofas to seat four guests.  A DVD player and radio allow for music and own films to be watched whilst relaxing in the evening. A small selection of DVDs may also be borrowed. Guests will be pleased to know that the cottage benefits from WiFi so that own ipods, ipads and mobile phones can be used.

The kitchen combines a dining section with a table that seats six. It is equipped with all necessary appliances for self-catering such as dishwasher and washing machine. There is a downstairs shower room with a WC.

Upstairs are two generous bedrooms, one double and one twin. These share a WC with a wash-hand basin.  Both bedrooms have sloping ceilings under the eaves.

The terrace/balcony at the back of the cottage is a pleasant place to sit and read at the table or to enjoy a hot drink when back from a day out.  It also has a BBQ for any guests who like a little sausage sizzling or cooking their own burgers in the fresh air. Guests may wish to relax a while in the evenings and watch the sunset.

A fully enclosed garden with lawns is a suitable outdoor space where children may play.  There is adequate space beside the cottage to park one or two vehicles.

The presence of a railway station in Llandeilo may suit non-driving holidaymakers, however, the cottage is remote – the nearest shop is three miles away.  Anyone booking this cottage would be advised to have a car so that you can easily get out and enjoy days out in the Brecon Beacons or on the beach.
