Pretty Rural Lodge with Country Views and Hot Tub near Rhayader

Although one of a number of lodges, Woodland Escape is located in its own enclosure accessed by a long, pretty path from the main lane. A gate at the end of the path aids security, and the open countryside around helps to create an atmosphere of remoteness.

The lodge is compact, but has everything you need from a holiday home. The open plan space has a nice kitchen area with gas cooker and hob, microwave and fridge in which to quickly throw together a warming meal after a day out. Although there is a dining table, you may opt to eat outside on the patio and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding countryside. The patio also has a hot tub ideal to relaxing and unwinding on holiday.
In the evening, you can curl up in the armchair or on the sofa and catch up with your favourite soaps or use the WiFi to check your social media. Before bed, take a warm shower in the walk-in shower.

A mezzanine area houses a double bed (accessed via a ladder), and is perfect for a couple wanting togetherness who are happy to climb the ladder. The lodge is ideal for two but can accommodate up to six, with use of the sofa bed and the pull-down bed in the open plan living area.

Outside, this lodge is a real treat where you can dine alfresco next to trees whilst looking out to the countryside, or let off steam in the warm bubbly outdoor hot tub, where you can also appreciate the views.
Walk, or if you have bikes there are plenty of trails from Rhayader through the Elan Valley complex. A wonderful chance to see red kites and rare wildlife and flora. On your way back snatch something to eat or drink in one of Rhayader's many pubs. About 60 minutes away, in the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the adventurous can take part in fell running, canoeing, gliding, hot air ballooning, golf and archery. Gateway to the reservoirs and dams of Elan Valley.
