Overton has a large collection of buildings which date back hundreds of years to the 18th and 19th centuries which are well-worth visiting. There are several other trails along the Llangollen Canal which are just wonderful for walks and ambles.

Chirk Castle is close by to Overton and this fascinating National Trust 12th century fort also has charming gardens to walk in after an afternoon of exploring the delights and history inside the walls of the castle. There are also plenty of small shops and pubs in and around the village which are excellent for sampling the local delicacies or getting to know the friendly villagers that reside in this beautiful part of the UK.
