Aberdeen Airport is located in Dyce - on the outskirts of the city. From there, hire a car or use public transport to get to the numerous attractions that this part of northeast Scotland offes. Forvie sands Nature Reserve, Balmedie Beach and all the attractions of the north east Grampian coastline. Balmedie has been embroiled in a fair amount of controversy in 2007; the American Donald Trump has purchased swathes of the beautiful Balmedie coastline with the plan of building a large luxury golf complex. At least he has a good eye for beauty - Balmedie beach is second to none. The east of Scotland coastline is rugged with spectacular cliffs, small communities who used to make their living from fishing in the old days.
