There is a car park for visitors by the village green. The walk down to the lighthouse is signposted and most people head that way. The lighthouse is open to visitors for a fee and the walk is worth the effort simply for the profusion of wild flowers. En-route one passes the most southerly house in Britain which has a sign proclaiming itself. A national trust car park is available beside the lighthouse.
Walk a touch further to get to the cliffs and clutch of small souvenir shops and restaurant. It is interesting to note that even succulents thrive in the warmer climate of the Lizard. These are foreign invaders which tend to choke other flowers but compensate with their own brilliant coloured blooms. Mats of flowering plants shroud warm south facing rocks
The entire area is crisscrossed with paths. Lots of people walk the coastal path and the views are truly magnificent. The sheer drops to the sea below are both awe inspiring and terrifying.
