The delightful village of Roade can be found towards the south of the county of Northamptonshire and is home to over 2,000 residents. There are few facilities here but just the right amount for those wishing to stay in a lovely cottage for a self-catering break in stunning rural surroundings. With a post office, a little shop and a pub – The Cock Inn, plus Dovecote Farm which has a restaurant, tea room and farm shop, there are plenty of things to keep you and your friends and family occupied whilst on holiday here. Going on walks or cycles through the impressive backdrops and nearby forestry is also a great way to spend an afternoon, and the wonderful Canal Museum in Stoke Bruerne is only two miles from Roade set on the Grand Union Canal in an idyllic setting.
