The award winning Senhouse Roman Museum is the place to go to learn about the area’s fascinating Roman past. It’s situated adjacent to a Roman fort, which has supplied many of the displays in the museum’s collection. Items have also been found at the nearby Roman civilian settlement. An observation tower in the grounds gives terrific views of the site.
