Set around 6 miles from the lovely coastal village of Lynton in North Devon, is this 3 bedroom 2 bathroom pets-welcome holiday cottage. It is a charming old cottage that has been renovated to a new life as a holiday home that sleeps six people. The cottage stands overlooking the River Heddon and is surrounded by greenery and the Exmoor National Park. Anyone who knows Lynton is aware that the town edges the coast on one side and is surrounded by woodland on the other. It is a tranquil place to explore, rich in wildlife and wildflowers.  A holiday here is ideal for a dog owning family that might relish the thought of long walks in Exmoor and along the coast of Lynmouth Bay.

The location is excellent for a self-catering holiday because apart from having shops a shortish drive away to keep you supplied with milk and bread, there are always eateries and pubs for a night out.

This whitewashed cottage is of a traditional style, and with a small front garden where a bench stands in front of the house. It’s a nice place to sit to soak up the sunshine or just listen to the birds and the sound of the river.

If you’re lucky, you might spot the brilliant flash of a kingfisher flying past.   Up to 2 pet pooches are welcome at the cottage.

A handful of steps lead up to the cottage door, step into the open-plan sitting room, dining room and kitchen. Two soft sofas face each other beside the log fire. An oak table with 6 upholstered dining chairs is tucked into an alcove between a wall and the stairs. A pristine white dinner service and sparkling glassware is all provided for your meals. Thankfully, a dishwasher is installed that will help you clear up and keep the worktops clear. Prepare meals and cook in the very nice modern fitted kitchen which has the following electric appliances: cooker, fridge freezer, microwave and washer/dryer.When not out in the evenings sampling the local beverages or food, enjoy watching the smart television, keeping up with social media or listening to music – the cottage has WiFi Internet.

At bedtime, this lovely holiday home has three bedrooms to offer, all fairly similar except that one is a double bedroom and has its own bath tub in the room, the other two offer flexible configuration of being set up as a twin or a super-king.

A separate shower room completes the bathing arrangements.

A garden table and chairs allow guests to picnic outside when the weather is especially good. This can be a boon if you have small children and let the birds pick up any dropped crumbs.

Come and enjoy the North Devon coast and a wander in the national park. Connect with nature, watch red kites swirl in the sky, have afternoon tea on your forays into the wild. And when the sun promises a scorching day, take to the beaches and top up your vitamin D. Find a collection of fabulous beaches, some quieter than others, discover the enormous sandy beach at Croyde or go to Minehead for amusements and rides.
