Escape for a relaxing rural retreat break to the Dorset National Landscape/AONB.  With 3 bedrooms, Thresher’s Barn sleeps up to 6 people in charming accommodation, and is set on a small farm development in the lush greenery of the Dorset countryside.  Escape, relax and unwind with friends and family on holiday in this idyllic setting on an organic farm, just 10 minutes’ drive from Beaminster and only half an hour’s drive from the coast and Lyme Regis.

This is a very pet-friendly property, and a number of dogs may be welcome by arrangement at Threshers.

This lovely barn conversion features an open plan living area (ideal for sociable holidays with friends and family), with a lounge area with a comfy sofa and armchairs, plus a roomy farmhouse kitchen with an extendable dining table that seats up to 14 people.  Downstairs is very light and airy with high vaulted ceilings as well as beautiful exposed beams and a galleried landing.

Also downstairs is a bedroom with zip and links beds (so can be made up as a king or as twin beds) and an ensuite shower room.

Upstairs are two of the three bedrooms which comprise of:

• A master bedroom with exposed wooden beams, a romantic king-size four poster bed, and an ensuite bathroom,

• A twin bedroom again with exposed wood beams and ensuite bathroom,

The back door leads outside to the lovely courtyard where you can sit out and enjoy views out over fields and farmlands.  Sit back on the lounger chairs and enjoy a BBQ in summer time as you watch the sun go down.  There is a gate with access to footpaths through the farm which joins up with other local footpaths, so this is a great place for dog owners and keen walkers.  Also on site is a small exercise area for dogs.

Holidaymakers who love to fish will be in their element here too as the owners have private coarse fishing lakes nearby for your use.

Guests staying at the Thresher enjoy access to the wonderful facilities at Bakers Mill Farm which include a games room with snooker, table tennis, table football, darts and toys for small children.  

Parking is available at the front of the Barn.
