Newton is a hamlet just north of the town of Bingham. Newton RAF Camp once housed military personnel and their families but has now been reincarnated as ordinary residential housing. A number of large period homes stand in the old part of the hamlet alongside more modest cottages. Farmland surrounds Newton; it's a peaceful rural spot although not far to Bingham, Newark or Nottingham. Radcliffe on Trent is to the west of Netwon, a small town with a golf club and park. Further west is the Holme Pierrepont Water Sports Centre and fishing lakes.
