All dog owners need to have a really memorable holiday in the Peak District is a pet-friendly holiday let; a small cottage or barn conversion where they can relax and enjoy the scenery and attractions of the national park.

Holidaymakers always relax more in private holiday homes where they can just be themselves without worrying about other people and the possibility of the dog disturbing them. We all love our own dogs and if taught well, they will heed our commands and not jump up to greet everyone around them. They all want a bit of attention, that is understandable but not everyone we meet on holiday will love out dogs in return. At least in our own private cottage or barn conversion in the Peak District, we can all settle down, give the dogs their usual cuddle on the sofa, then watch them snooze happily in front of the wood burner.

The pleasure of going on holiday to the Peak District is in finding walks with beautiful scenery. Your dog might be far more interested in the myriad of new scents but you can enjoy the hills, dales and meadows. And the tea shops! There are some fabulous walks in the Edale Valley, walk through the village of Hope, or to Castleton which has a better selection of eateries and a visitor centre.

Every day out in the Peak District will end back in your holiday cottage where you can feed your ravenous bundle of fur, put the kettle on and rest before deciding whether to have dinner in the pub or to bake a pizza in your own kitchen and take the chilled beer out of the fridge.
