Stunning Sleeps 8 Holiday Lodge with Hot Tub and Sauna, and Fabulous Lake Views, right by the Lake of Menteith, and by Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park

If you are looking to escape on a special and memorable holiday in Scotland, and want to wake up to fabulous uplifting views every day on holiday, then a stay at Widgeon & the Nest could be the perfect choice.  With views to die for and light bright and airy Scandinavian interiors, this stunning high quality lodge, lies right by the Lake of Menteith, just on the edge of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, and could be the perfect place to relax and unwind on holiday with your nearest and dearest.

There are 3 bedrooms in the main lodge, and an additional one bedroom annexe, making this lodge attractive to extended families in particular.  With Egyptian cotton bed linen, this is a place to appreciate the finer things in life.

There is loads to do on the Lochend estate, enjoy fishing from boats on the lake for trout, take a boat out on the lake out for fun, cycle, walk or try a bit of paddle boarding.  Or if you prefer, there is a full-size tennis court, and a games room with table tennis, pool table, air-hockey table and table football on site, so whatever the weather, there is plenty to do. For guests keen to explore, Lochend lies just on the edge of the stunning scenery of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, where you can enjoy a variety of outdoor pursuits, visit Loch Lomond, castles, distilleries, quaint villages and more.

Inside this Stunning Lakeside Lodge with Annexe by Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park

Stunning lake views and a luxurious stylish interior are features of this beautiful holiday home.

The open plan living area is a large sociable space with a large comfy corner sofa, large wall mounted flat screen TV, dining table and well-equipped kitchen with all mod cons including a Nespresso machine.  There is also a reading sofa for taking some time out with a book.  This room features stunning floor to ceiling glass windows, from which you can enjoy panoramic views out to the lake, out towards Ben Lomon and Menteith Hill.  These doors open out to the patio giving you the feeling of letting the outdoors in and truly maximizing on the amazing views.  Watch the sunset over the lake, through the huge glass sliding doors.

The doors open out to the patio, which has a superb setting, right by the lake.  He patio features a beautiful handmade Larch picnic table, where you can sit out and soak up and enjoy those long summer evenings.

Upstairs

A romantic four- poster king size bed with sparkly fairy light canopy, plus ensuite shower room.  
A bedroom with a super-king size bed (can be made up as two single beds on request) plus large flat screen TV, and superb loch views.  

The lodge is complemented by a superb one bedroom designer annex.  The annex features a romantic bedroom with a super-king size bed and a bathroom upstairs.  Downstairs is a wonderful sauna and changing room for a truly pampered break.

For more pampering and relaxation, outdoors is the cedar hot tub.  The hot tub and sauna can be used until 10pm.

Widgeon & the Nest is a two-storey holiday lodge which has its own patio area, right by the lake.  The lodge adjoins two other stunning lakeside holiday lodges at the Lochend Estate.
