Southeast of Snowdonia National Park, in the countryside of mid Wales is the small village of Pennant, half-way between Llanbrynmair and Llanidloes. It is a leafy area with trees and shrubs lining narrow country lanes. Interspersed amongst the trees are people’s homes; mostly whitewashed with fenced lawns. It is a rural area, full of natural charm.

Set in farmland with a backdrop of hills is Pennant Uchaf, a large stylish four bedroom self-catering cottage with a hot tub on the terrace. Very nicely fitted and furnished, the accommodation is clean, bright and in a contemporary style. Each room is generously proportioned and airy.

There is a generously sized open-plan living area with lounge, dining area and kitchen so plenty of space to relax and unwind. A swish black fitted kitchen lines the walls at the far end, a table to seat eight stands between it and the sitting area which is furnished with two large comfortable sofas, an easy chair and a bean bag. One television stands in this room, four others are dotted about the bedrooms. The house is fitted with a sound system, so bring and play your favourite music to your heart’s content.

There is underfloor heating on the ground floor and radiator heating on the first floor in the bedrooms. Each of the bedrooms is spacious and three contain a super-king bed for that ultimate night’s sleep, although after a day wandering about the hills in the fresh air and a nightcap, most would sleep like a log. The main bedroom features an en-suite. The fourth bedroom is currently a twin room. The beds could be zip linked to create another superking if wished, depending on the make-up of the group.

The smart main bathroom has a full-length bath, a shower cubicle, WC and wash basin and there is also a groundfloor shower room bringing the total number of bathrooms in this holiday home to three.

This is a self-catering property in Wales that everyone would appreciate. It has everything that most holidaymakers would ask for. The kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine, dryer and good cooking facilities.  Any guests with small children may request a high chair and cot. Small dogs are permitted but please be aware of the sheep in the fields.
