Towards the north of Warwickshire is the charming market town of Bedworth which is home to plenty of historical buildings that are fascinating to see when on a self-catering cottage holiday here. The Nicholas Chamberlaine Almshouses are particularly interesting and can be found in the All Saint’s Square in the centre of town. Dating from 1840, there are wonderful to see. There is a large shopping district in Bedworth as well as the serene Miners’ Welfare Park which includes a leisure centre, and plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafés to sample. To see a different part of Warwickshire you and your family and friends could take a day trip to the county town of Warwick which is 15 miles away and is home to the magnificent 12th century Warwick Castle, or you could see the nearer settlements of Coventry and Nuneaton, both full of things to see and do.
