This is an ideal perch for a couple wanting somewhere smart, but with minimum maintenance, who love walking and spending time besides and on the river. Get in touch with nature at nearby Goonhilly Downs National Nature Reserve then head along to Gweek Quay Boatyard for some canoeing and paddle boarding excitement. More thrills available at Heston's Flambards Theme Park.

Inside this Sleeps 2 Cabin on Cornwall’s Lizard Peninsula

The cottage itself has wood flooring and has been tastefully decorated in pale colours, jazzed up with lovely nautical pictures. Two comfortable, double seater sofas have been arranged, on one side of the entrance, to form an inviting TV and coffee corner. Rustle up a little something in the kitchenette, and serve up at the table, in the opposite corner, set romantically for two. As night approaches take a hot shower in the shower room, equipped with walk-in shower, basin and WC, then hop into the inviting double bed opposite.

Outside, the cabin has its own front garden and is set within the owner’s beautiful grounds where you can take a seat in the sun in the shared side garden.

Stock up on provisions at the nearby village store, and afterwards drop into the Black Swan pub for lunch and to meet the locals.

The Cornish Seal Sanctuary nearby is also well worth a visit.
