You will certainly never feel cramped for space while staying at this enormous property. The nine bedrooms all vary in bed size and thereby cater for all types of guests, from young children to elders, as there is also a ground floor bedroom with wet room. Prepare some incredible meals for everyone in the ginormous kitchen, which includes an AGA and range cooker, sure to keep even the most experienced cooks happy. You can then all gather around the grand formal dining table before retiring to the sitting room and relaxing on the comfortable sofas in front of the open fire. If any of your guests need somewhere quiet to work, then they can make use of the study while the games room is guaranteed to keep everyone entertained. Have a game on the full-size snooker table if the weather outside is miserable but be sure to get yourself outside in better weather, as there are many fishing and walking opportunities located right on your doorstep.

The best way to discover the surrounding area is to get your walking boots on and simply get out there. The lovely Yorkshire countryside is just made for walking while those who fancy venturing a bit further out will be happy to know that Durham is just 30 miles from the lodge. Make a trip to Barnard Castle, visit the Heritage coastline and be sure to take some time to get up to Hadrian's Wall. After a day of walking and discovering you will love being able to return to your own luxury lodge.
