The Property: About Gerrida Lodge

A pine lodge overlooking a lake is many a person’s idea of perfect holiday accommodation.  Gerrida Lodge stands beside a lake in South Cumbria and has a spacious patio with modern garden tables and chairs overlooking the water. It would be a lovely place to sit on a warm sunny day and just relax. The lodge is modern, built of pine, with a short set of four steps leading up to the patio and the front door. Inside, it is furnished as any modern holiday cottage would be; there is laminate flooring, plush sofas, a television mounted on the wall above a stylish glass flame-effect built-in fire and attractive contemporary pictures and furnishings.

A grey coloured fitted kitchen stands at one end of the room. A dining table with six smart grey chairs is situated between the seating and kitchen sections. The property comes complete with all crockery cutlery and glassware that you would need during a self-catering holiday for six people. There is plenty of cupboard space in the kitchen - there will not have any problems in storing any food that you might bring. For cooking, there is a double oven, a fitted microwave and a gas hob. Three bar stools stand beneath the breakfast bar which offers yet another place to sit and chat or enjoy a snack. This is a 3 bedroom property.  Two of the bedrooms are double and one is a twin bedroom. There are two bathrooms, one bathroom is fitted with a full length bath and shower over. A round basin stands on a cupboard and there is plenty of room for your toiletries on the shelves in the bathroom. The other is a shower room en-suite to one of the double bedrooms.

An attractive feature of this property is the hot tub on the patio which guests would no doubt enjoy at any time of day or evening. Because this lodge is part of the South Lakeland leisure village, facilities of the village are available to guests. These include a swimming pool, a gymnasium and a café. The attractive grounds are ideal for a gentle walk, especially if you bring your dog, plus there are opportunities for a spot of fishing.

The lodge is maintained at a comfortable temperature by gas central heating and there is a gas flame effect fire set into the wall in the living area. There are televisions in each of the bedrooms as well as in the living room. Parking is conveniently outside the lodge and there is sufficient space to   accommodate two vehicles. Guests are welcome to bring one dog.

The South Lakeland leisure village is located just West of the M6 and South of Tewitfield, offering fast access to all locations in the Lake District. This is a very attractive place to stay because of the local ameneties and the tranquil setting and yet with access to lots of beautiful places in the Lake District for days out.
