Amesbury, just 8 miles away, has 3 larger supermarkets, Tesco, Co-op and Lidl. A bus service runs from the village cross-road, going to Salisbury, Amesbury and Devizes. And there are various National Trust properties to visit for days out.

With Stonehenge so close by, this is an ideal base for a visit to Stonehenge.  The fascinating historic spa city of Bath with its great assortment of shops and restaurants is only around 45 minutes’ drive away.  Also close by is the stunning Cranborne Chase National Landscape.
