Book a weekend break in the Derbyshire town of Matlock, on the edge of the Peak District and have a fabulous two or three days visiting the tourist attractions and having a good time. Arrive on a Friday at your rented holiday home, unpack and unwind before going out on the town. A weekend break can be more satisfying than a fill week because you can easily find a number of activities that you really want to do in the area rather than randomly look for things to do to fill your time. A weekend break tends to be a quality break, albeit a little more intense.

You won’t need to bring much for a weekend break either. With self-catering there is always the prospect of bringing enough food and drink but it doesn’t take much for 2-3 days. With a holiday home in Matlock and shops on your doorstep, you can easily pop down to get exactly what you need, even on a daily basis.

You might wish to have a couple of days out visiting the places that interest you in and around Matlock, Matlock Bath and the Peak District. Book a table in a restaurant if you want someone else to do the cooking and washing up. Just have a weekend of fun.
