The incredible town house of Nantclwyd y Dre can be found on Castle Street in Ruthin and dating from around 1435, it is thought to be the oldest town house still remaining in Wales today. Having only been open to the public since 2007, this incredible house is home to seven captivating rooms, each representing different ages in the history of the building.
Another fascinating day out whilst on a self-catering break in Ruthin, is a trip to the town’s Craft Centre that features six workshops with craftsmen displaying their skills to the public. These crafts include painting, glass blowing and furniture restoration, and watching these skills being performed is incredibly insightful and interesting.
