The long sandy beach is surprisingly quiet, perhaps because Jaywick has few facilities apart from a beach cafe and various eateries on the high street. There are public toilets but it may be preferable to use toilets in the cafes or at the supermarket. There is parking on the high street and in adjacent roads. The larger seaside resorts of Clacton, Frinton and Walton on the Naze are a short drive away.
