What Martock offers for Self-Catering Breaks

The small town of Martock can be found on the edge of the picturesque Somerset Levels in the south west of England and is a quaint and charming place in which to rent self-catering accommodation for a break in Somerset with friends and family. As well as exploring the beautiful moors and hills that surround the settlement, by foot or by bicycle, there is much to see in Martock to make your stay both fun and relaxing. An interesting place to visit in the town is The Treasurer’s House, a National Trust property dating from the 13th century. Built from hamstone, this medieval priest’s house includes a Great Hall, completed in 1293, and is great to visit for an afternoon in Martock.

Another fun place to visit is the Burrow Hill Cider Farm, which can be found by Burrow Hill on the outskirts of Martock. Cider is made here using traditional methods, and taking a tour of the orchards in this pretty farm is a wonderful thing to do on a sunny day in the town.
