Holiday cottage parks are places where groups of cottages share communal facilities and most are ideal for family self-catering holidays.

Tourist destinations will have several holiday cottage parks for a family holiday. People often opt to visit the Lake District, Peak District, Cornwall and similar popular destinations for their summer holidays, hence cottage holiday parks have developed over the years.

The character and style of each holiday park will vary, there are log cabin holidays in the Peak District which offer cycle trails and a swimming pool.
