Another festival worth attending is the Pattern Festival, held in the middle of August at the height of summer. This event sees local villagers joining in with Mass and a trip to the Holy Well as well as ribbon twirling competitions to traditional Irish music. There is also the Nelius O’Connor Traditional Music Festival which occurs annually in November. This is a wonderful festival if you love Irish music, and you can see brilliant bands, talented singers and enchanting storytellers from all over Ireland.
